Edinburgh Radiology Course for ICM, 22nd & 23rd February 2018

We look forward to welcoming you to the Edinburgh Radiology Course for Intensive Care Medicine. The aim of the course is to help you develop a systematic method of reviewing images of common pathologies encountered in clinical practice in Critical Care Medicine. The course includes lectures and hands-on radiology case review workshops with Radiology experts with a maximum of 2 delegates per workstation. The course is aimed towards clinicians and trainees who are looking for a deeper understanding of the various imaging modalities and is particularly focused towards the ICM training syllabus.

Topics Include:

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF RADIOLOGY, INDICATIONS AND LIMITATIONS OF DIFFERENT IMAGING MODALITIES, INTERPRETATION OF CXR AND AXR INCLUDING TUBES AND LINES, CT CHEST AND ABDOMEN/PELVIS INCLUDING VENOUS AND ARTERIAL PHASE AND ANGIOGRAPHY, CT HEAD AND C-SPINE INCLUDING NEURO-INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY, PAN CT TRAUMA INCLUDING COMMON INJURIES AND FRACTURES.
